Thanks a mill for making Couleur Café this memorable yet again. Despite the rain you managed to party on for 3 whole days. Bootsy Collins and The Funk Unity Band made sure last sunset was funky as hell, while Jurassic 5’s classic hip hop beats made Tour & Taxis bounce. The music was great, you were great, you might have got wet but you were 100 % Couleur Café. See you the 26th of June. Peace!

Thanks to Basement Jaxx’s samba beats and Seeds dancehall party we went out with a bang yesterday! Today the party goes on with a splendid musical blend: folk by Ben Howard, reggae by Burning Spear et The Gladiators ft. Droop Lion hip hop from Chinese Man, Akua Naru and Chance the Rapper and a touch of electro when The Subs get on stage! With DJ Tudo and the World Cup games we take you straight to Brazil.
Tonight we treat you all to a burst of colors with our first Holi Couleur party at 8.30 PM and of course the annual fireworks at 11.30PM. Welcome back! Get your tickets here or at the box office.
Hip hop lovers better come early, because at 17h15 legendary Californian rap crew Dilated Peoples will be opening on our Titan main stage. Next on is British hit phenomenon Dizzee Rascal. Later tonight we’re in for a treat with electro swing revelation Parov Stelar Band, Soldout and finally sunny house music from Basement Jaxx. And let’s not forget about our Belgian pride: Puggy & Girls in Hawaii.

Couleur Café invites many great artists, whose only Belgian show this summer will be at Couleur Café: Australian jam band John Butler Trio, folk singer Ben Howard, French and German party squads Chinese Man and Seeed, the American hip hop classic Jurassic 5 and upcoming star Chance the Rapper, but also Basement Jaxx, Morcheeba, Laura Mvula, Alpha Blondy, Ky-Mani Marley and the eccentric funkmaster Bootsy Collins. Even better, Jamaican reggae legend Burning Spear will play his only European gig this summer at Couleur Café!

The Solidarity Village is still the committed humanitarian heart of the festival. This year we’d like to inform you on “Equal Opportunities”, with many interactive activities and of course the Raggaravane providing the right beat. The neighboring municipality of Molenbeek will also present some fine projects, delicious food and great music. Discover our brand new indoor DJ club Clandestino where the crazy Dutchmen Kalash & Nikov will host their karaoke sensation every day non-stop. Our Wanted!-DJ’s Captain Steel (Friday), What It Is (Saturday) and DJ Dunya (Sunday) will close the club every night with stomping beats. Saturday night you’ll make the party at our Move Stage with the colorful Holi Couleur performance. Starring: color powder, good music, a rousing MC, a Bollywood flashmob and you!

Bem-vindo a Couleur Café! The 28th and 29th of June you won’t have to miss a thing of the World Cup, cause we’re showing the four ‘Round of 16’ games on a big screen. We’re in for three sunny days on a Tour & Taxis site drenched in great music, packed with beautiful fans and seasoned with a World Cup Football providing just that extra bit of summer joy.
Round of 16 on big screen (at the stand of and thanks to the RTBF): Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of June, at 6PM and 10PM. With DJ Tudo e Sua Gente de Todo Lugar we complete the 2014 line-up with an exotic touch. The Brasilian DJ, guitarist and musicologist blends technology and authenticity, backed by a group of excellent musicians playing from the huge repertoire of sounds their country abounds with. Just like last year our Combi Camping tickets sold out quickly! There are still enough 1 Day tickets and Combi 3 Days tickets available but the latter are also selling really well. Surf to our ticket page as soon as possible, if you’d like to party 3 days long.
Couleur Café regrets the cancellation of Cassius but we found a worthy replacement with party animals The Subs! As icing on the cake, we managed to book the incredible Parov Stelar Band on Friday. Blitz The Ambassador, an absolute must in the alternative funk rap genre, completes the Sunday program. There are only 90 Combi Camping tickets left, buy them here.
With 3 new reggae and dub names we add more green, yellow and red to the Couleur Café spectrum. Saturday roots reggae legends The Gladiators feat. the budding Droop Lion are coming over. The gifted Ky-Mani Marley and explosive live band Asian Dub Foundation will reinforce our Sunday’s reggae line-up. Expect the last names very soon!

Two major festival acts on Friday the 27th: Dizzee Rascal with his smash hits like Bonkers and Dance Wiv Me and Dutch hip hoppers De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. On Sunday we’ve got a wonderful surprise: Magnus, known for their summer soundtrack Summer’s Here are coming back with an all-stars live band and a new album! Their first live concert will be at Couleur Café. Reggae fans will be delighted to hear the French band Danakil is back at Couleur Café.

Just like the past 9 years and with the support of SABAM For Culture, we invite you to discover our Wanted!-artists. This year we picked the brilliant lyrical rap Veence Hanao, delightful pop, soul and jazz of Little Collin, superb trip hop by Oyster Node and upbeat reggae from the Iron Ites. Two new delightful additions to our line-up. Friday we've got the great sixteen-piece(!) hip hop & reggae big band Seeed coming over. Peter Fox, whom you might know from his summer hit Haus am See, and his horns, drummers, MC’s and DJ’s will show you why they’ve got such an outstanding live reputation. Bring your sweetheart on Saturday and let Ben Howard’s beautiful songs enchant you.

Want to start summer early? Come to Botanique on March 26 for a concert by Mokoomba, one of Couleur Cafés favorite African bands! Botanique and Couleur Café are always keen to promote budding national and international talent. Now, for the first time ever, we team up to organize this unique concert by Mokoomba, who repeatedly played at the festival. Support act is Belgian-Congolese rapper Nina Miskina, one of our Wanted!-discoveries in 2013.

The yearly Wanted! call for Belgian talent ended last Monday, 20 January. The jury will go to work now; the chosen musical acts or visual artists for the coming edition will be announced by the end of March. These artists will be on one of our stages or featuring in our Cool Art Café exposition. If you want to know more about the Wanted!-procedure or Cool Art Café, go to the MORE-button on this page.
